I’ve used the same actions and have the cleanest teeth in my life from it. Brushing your teeth is not a passive activity. This brush does require slow, soft movement so that it has a chance to clean every nook and cranny of your teeth. I highly recommend this as long as you are willing to give it a chance to reach all the areas of your teeth. You may love it, too.

This toothbrush is awesome! If you have never tried a sonic brush, you need to! The brush heads are replaceable, and my son's child-sized heads fit perfectly on the body of this brush. It's easy to change out between mine and his during our daily routines so you don't need to buy additional brushes for different people in your family, just separate brush heads. It works fast, cleans very well but don't forget to floss-- this brush gets less of those between the teeth areas than a traditional brush does so flossing is even more important than ever when you use a sonic brush. We don't buy special toothpaste, either. Instead, we put a dollop of toothpaste on our fingers and spread it across our teeth before we brush. It works like a charm and we get to keep using our favorite toothpastes! Highly recommended!

-Don't bite down! Your first instinct when something is vibrating in your mouth is to bite down and stop it. JUST RELAX. Like in the movie ""The King's Speech"" let the microphone do the work.
-After my second use I was amazed at how CLEAN and FRESH my mouth felt.
-Note that recharging through the base unit is done via a USB cord, and the instructions misspelled USB as UBS. This is no big deal since most travel kits use USB to charge items & phones. My Galaxy S7 cord worked fine.
